Ministry of Fisheries Tongafish Pathway Project, in Partnership with World Bank, Facilitates Boat Handover to Ha'atafu and Kolonga Special Management Area

[TONGA, May 7, 2024] – In a significant step towards bolstering marine conservation efforts and advancing sustainable fisheries management, the Ministry of Fisheries Tongafish Pathway Project, generously funded by the World Bank, has facilitated the handover of boats to the Ha'atafu and Kolonga Special Management Area. This initiative aims to enhance data collection and monitoring capabilities, crucial for the preservation of Tonga's rich marine biodiversity.
