Nuku’alofa, 23rd November 2023 – The Ministry of Fisheries is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Vailala Matoto as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment was officially welcomed during a ceremony held at the main office, where the Acting Minister for Fisheries, Lord Fohe, was present to extend his congratulations.
Dr. Matoto brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record, having worked tirelessly with the Ministry of Fisheries and projects for years. His hands-on experience in overseeing and implementing various projects has not only showcased his leadership skills but also demonstrated his commitment to the sustainable management of fisheries resources.
Dr. Matoto, in response, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the Ministry's mission. "I am honored to join the Ministry of Fisheries and work alongside its dedicated team.
